Clean Election Events Calendar

Please mark your calendar for June 3-5! Jeannette Galanis and Adam Smith from Public Campaign will be coming to West Virginia to help us with our legislative strategy for the summer and fall, leading up to our big push to pass the WV Public Campaign Financing Act in 2009. They have identified three areas for our work:
  • Identifying what each coalition partner organization can commit to do, services, connections each provides
  • Legislative strategy - thoughtful mapping of who can help us move the bill forward, who are roadblocks and how to get around them, identifying champions in each Chamber
  • Research - where the money is evident on issues people care about, "appearance of corruption," why some good proposals never seem to pass
We will need you help and input, so please plan to devote time to our issue while Jeannette and Adam are here. I know all of you are busy, but I do hope you will make every effort to be available as much as possible during those days.

Thanks for all you do! More details will follow! We will know more and be able to finalize plans for these important work sessions by our next regular coalition meeting, which will be Thursday, May 22, at 10:30 AM at the Catholic Diocesan Office, 1116 Kanawha Blvd. E.
