Clean Elections Coalition - Save the Date!  Tuesday, August 17 at 10:30 AM

Hope you've been having a fruitful summer with some time to relax! The Secretary of State's Office has now prepared the rules for the Supreme Court PIlot Project. The state's Election Commission will be meeting on July 29 at 6:00 PM in the SOS Conference Room to discuss and approve the rules. Then our implementation work will begin! There are a number of ways in which we want to continue our involvement in the process - such as assuring that the program is adequately funded and encouraging promising, good candidates to run using the program. A successful Pilot Project will be very important in keeping the option for public financing alive.

We'd like to schedule a coalition meeting to discuss this and a number of ideas for our continued work together to make sure the program does succeed! And we really want your input! Please save the date: Tuesday, August 17 at 10:30 AM at the Catholic Diocese Office, 1116 Kanawha Blvd. East. We'll have some sandwich fixings, etc. there for folks who'd like to have a light lunch before leaving - so it would be helpful if you could let me know if you plan to attend.
